Creating a World Cup Game & Website In 3 Weeks

FX Primus is one of the foreign exchange industry’s most secure online trading platforms. With FX Primus, users are able to trade Over 120 instruments including currency pairs, commodities, CFDs & indices.

A Great Idea

FX-Primus came to us with an idea to create an addictive online football game with the objective of driving brand awareness and email sign ups through a World Cup focused campaign.

The project involved firstly creating an upfront marketing strategy which would inform the creative as well as highlight the potential audiences. From there, design, development and hosting of the project was for us to handle.

We had 3 weeks from brief to go live. Our task was to work in conjunction with the FXprimus team and create an interactive game with a dedicated landing page for a select set of target countries. Due to the narrow timeframe we knew that there was no room for error. We began working to a lean project plan, ensuring that the project’s critical path was continued and delivered on time.







Monitoring The Game

The game’s mechanics were based on scoring 10 goals per day in order to be entered into a weekly prize draw. Additional goals could be gained through social sharing and email referrals with winners announced weekly. Across the course of the tournament we ran detailed reporting on user interaction and game reach, as well as which marketing channels and countries they were sent from.
