Brand creation, UX/UI Design and App Development
Glo Up provides London’s best beauty technicians to your door. They came to us with an idea for an app. A way to help people connect with beauty professionals at their own convenience. We had a blank canvas to create a brand identity and turn it into an engaging product. We also advised them on their marketing strategy.
Creating a Brand
We started with research into competitors and trends to ensure that the product had a unique position within the marketplace. We then created conceptual brand models, eventually refining them to a finished product. We provided an array of brand guidelines that covered all things from font and colour implementation to tone and direction of voice for use on social and offline platforms. We also worked with the client providing image direction on photo shoots to ensure that the supporting imagery was aligned with branding.
The brand mark is formed from a custom typeface that uses a cutaway effect that portrays the progression of creation and beauty. Visually the brand looks as if its surfacing in front of your eyes. This connects to Glo Up name and services and products by representing the development of beautification.
Designing the App
Our team of UX and UI designers created an app that facilitated quick and convenient booking, connecting technicians to a wider customer base. The app afforded users the ability to search technicians by their skillset and times of availability, providing an invaluable intercommunication tool which simplified the beauty booking process.
The implementation of an internal review and rating system was critical to the validity of the app. It provided beauticians with an opportunity to develop a trusted brand that was reliant upon the quality of their service. Glo up connects people with the beauty services they want at a time and place that suits their needs.
Glo Up is live on both Itunes and Google Play and is quickly carving out its niche within the market.
